What do you think is the single biggest misconception people have when it comes to startups?
The single biggest misconception people have when it comes to startups is thinking that having an idea is enough to startup. An idea, by itself, is worthless.
If you could go back in time to any moment from your journey, and give yourself one tip, what would it be?
if I could go back in time to any moment from my journey of being an entrepreneur, I would have started working full time on my startup earlier before I started.
What makes you stand out as an entrepreneur?
What makes me stand out as an entrepreneur are the self-motivation, resilience, and perseverance traits I possess.
What are some of the best working habits you’ve gained over the past couple of years?
Some of the best working habits have gained over the past couple of years are, empathy, seeing business in almost everything, critical thinking, and not taking feedbacks personally.
Give us a bit of an insight into the influences behind the company?
FlexCoord is a software as a service company (SAAS) that provides an all-in-one solution to MSMEs and Government agencies for efficient administration and management of their day-to-day business running.
FlexCoord came into existence as a necessity to help bridge the gap for organisational continuity as remote working is forced upon them by the out-break of Covid-19, and also the steady increase in the exchange rate of Dollar to Naira. As a post-Covid response and exchange rate mitigation, the idea of developing FlexCoord was conceived to help organisations flourish by leveraging on a robust centralised system. That will foster remote working at an affordable and flexible cost.
Where do you see your business in five years?
I see my business in the next five years providing a solution to over 2 million MSMEs in Nigeria, and, also, expanding into other African countries.
What do you think the biggest challenge will be for you in getting there?
The biggest challenge that we would face is our infrastructural cost. Due to the increase in the exchange rate of dollar to African currencies and scarcity in accessing dollars, it would impede us from making a better profit margin.
Talk to us about your biggest success story so far?
My biggest success so far has been able to build a team, build our MVP, and also getting our business registered and incorporated by the cooperate affairs commission of Nigeria.
How do clients and customers find you? Are you much of a salesperson for yourself?
We reach out to our potential clients and customers using inbound marketing strategies, and also words of mouth and referrals.
What one tip would you give to fellow startup founders?
Be consistent and believe in your dreams, as you alone can define what success is for yourself.
And finally, what do you hope the future brings both you personally, and your business?
I hope the future brings more opportunities for me to serve our customers and clients better.
