Tell us about yourself?

I am a self-trained AI engineer and full-stack developer. I am also a physician, an interventional cardiologist, multi-lingual, and extremely goal-driven.

What do you think is the single biggest misconception people have when it comes to startups?

You have to leave your job to build a start-up. You actually don’t, but it improves your chances of success, which at baseline are very small.

If you could go back in time to any moment from your journey, and give yourself one tip, what would it be?

Start earlier. As soon as possible. Because it is what makes the most sense.

What makes you stand out as an entrepreneur?

I have very high expectations for myself and others. It is a strength but also a weakness.

What are some of the best working habits you’ve gained over the past couple of years?

Founding a startup can make time fly. Taking some time to run regularly both clears your head and boosts your productivity, and you’ll soon find you have your best ideas when you get back.

Give us a bit of an insight into the influences behind the company?

alviss.ai is a data analysis company for science and biomedical industry professionals. We created the Alviss platform to help sciences and biomedical industry professionals find the best information to optimise their practice.

We focus on:
– Analysing large quantities of circulating scientific information
– Extracting insights from raw scientific data
– Delivering the best insights for our users and clients in easy-to-use applications

Where do you see your business in five years?

We aim to scale fast and embrace the Agile development method. Our aim is to deliver new products regularly, so stay tuned!

What do you think the biggest challenge will be for you in getting there?

Gaining the trust of our customers in our ability to consistently provide reliable insights to improve their practice.

Passing 40,000 visits per month of our platform and 1,500 downloads of our applications with a tiny marketing budget.
