Tell us about yourself?

Just an independent game developer trying to create unique, concentrated experiences with my like-minded partners.

What do you think is the single biggest misconception people have when it comes to startups?

People usually think having a startup is much better and cooler than an actual full-time job but, in my experience, the truth is being a part of a startup is working much more, pouring every resource you have into it and hoping it will turn out at least a bit closer to what you actually dreamed of. Sure, it is thrilling and fun at times but it doesn’t change the fact that you put out extra hours of work and your time is just one of the resources you are spending on it.

If you could go back in time to any moment from your journey, and give yourself one tip, what would it be?

Personally, I am not the type to seek advice, so I am pretty happy with where I am right now. It’ll sound a bit cliche, but I find the truth in acting in the way that you believe in and learning from the unexpected results on the way. Either I don’t believe in helpful tips that could change the way of your thinking in a snap or my skull is just too thick.

What makes you stand out as an entrepreneur?

Maybe my field of work could be distinctive compared to the rest. We develop niche, concentrated & unique games. It’s not something common in today’s market.

What are some of the best working habits you’ve gained over the past couple of years?

My working habits are pretty unusual most of the time: I work too hard. Definitely don’t recommend for anyone else to avoid burnout syndrome but, for some reason, I still work really hard even though it’s unhealthy.

Give us a bit of an insight into the influences behind the company?

Independent games I used to play influenced my way of designing and developing games a lot. Success stories and projects of small, talented teams influenced and encouraged me a lot too!

Where do you see your business in five years?

We are aiming to progressively increase our project scale a lot in time. Each of our games will be bigger than the first one, and in five years we expect to be a notable part of the independent game market.

What do you think the biggest challenge will be for you in getting there?

Consistency. Working consistently without losing my determination. But I know it will be difficult and will take time to get there so, I don’t think it is very unlikely.

Talk to us about your biggest success story so far?

Our biggest success story is to be able to find such talented and determined individuals to work together, and be able to develop and publish a project: Ressifice from scratch with no budget and every free time that we could find. I am very proud of my team for this achievement.

How do clients and customers find you? Are you much of a salesperson for yourself?

What we develop is pretty niche, although we do have some marketing efforts to make our project stand out more, most of our players find us scrolling through Steam.

What one tip would you give to fellow startup founders?

Well, I have already said what I think about giving and taking advice but, what I could say is just do what you think is right but also make sure you are taking small risks with your every move, so the lesson you take from it doesn’t wear you out or discourage you.

And finally, what do you hope the future brings both you personally, and your business?

I am pretty happy with where I am. It would be great to continue developing projects that we love, with my team. Just like any other studio, we do aim to grow bigger in scale so, we hope to be able to do so.
