Tell us about yourself?

I am Rishabh Bhardwaj. I founded Yamak with my friend, Vishal Kinikar. Prior to Yamak, I also founded another startup and worked in 2 companies. I like creating value in user’s life via good useful products. Mostly I am interested in ML and AI and try to create products in the same domain.

What do you think is the single biggest misconception people have when it comes to startups?

They need a lot of resources to start and a lot of IQ too. But, the reality is to create a startup you need a good product and a good team. These two factors lead to better and better execution and a better product for the consumer.

What makes you stand out as an entrepreneur?

Consistency. Since I know a lot of people who have far better skills compared to me in each and every walk of life, but I am a more persistent character and that helps me out a lot.

What are some of the best working habits you’ve gained over the past couple of years?

Better planning leads to better outcomes whether you get success or not. It helps in both scenarios.

Give us a bit of an insight into the influences behind the company?

Well, I keep reading about new technological developments in the AI field and this new tech seems to be having a lot of value for the consumer. So we started building this.

Where do you see your business in five years?

I would like to have at least 2-3 million customers and 10-20 million in revenue. Also as a thriving company with 100-200 employees.

What do you think the biggest challenge will be for you in getting there?

Mostly finding good quality people and making them stay at the company. And doing this on regular basis.

Talk to us about your biggest success story so far?

Not talking to users first. We should talk to users either in the b2b or b2c market. That gives us an idea about the value that our product can add to their life.

How do clients and customers find you? Are you much of a salesperson for yourself?

We personally go and ask users to try out our product. I need to improve my sales skills a lot.

What one tip would you give to fellow startup founders?

Think about value rest everything is by-product of it.

And finally, what do you hope the future brings both you personally, and your business?

Well. If we can create a product that can help users to save up their time and reduce efforts in some way.
