Roi Emanuel Naaman of Humanz.

Tell us about yourself?

I am the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Co-Founder of Humanz. I am an expert with proven experience in mathematics (MSc), growth, and management.

I use my talents to manage the organization’s growing pains. When I am not brainstorming, I’m spending time with friends or playing sports.

What do you think is the single biggest misconception people have when it comes to startups?

People often think it’s an easy task, and always fun. In reality it is a lonely rollercoaster ride. During the highs, the pride you feel is daily uncomparable. But at the lows, you feel the effects directly and there are not many people to share it with.

If you could go back in time to any moment from your journey, and give yourself one tip, what would it be?

I don’t have a specific point in time, but my advice is “In many cases, wisdom is better than experience.”

What makes you stand out as an entrepreneur?

The belief that I truly understand the market and have the skills to solve this problem with my incredible partners

What are some of the best working habits you’ve gained over the past couple of years?

Prioritize – the difference between urgent and important is super crucial for the startups game. It is all about the team, make sure you take to this journey the best people you can get and enjoy creating with them, the journey is not less important than the destination!

Give us a bit of an insight into the influences behind the company?

We are five founders, which a lot of people initially believed would make decision-making difficult if not impossible. Trust, friendships and an understanding of each founder’s strength and weakness are our greatest assets.

Where do you see your business in five years?

In a leadership role within the “creator economy” market, continuing to build a more transparent and rewarding industry for all parties involved, alongside building a great place to work with a great culture.

What do you think the biggest challenge will be for you in getting there?

Making sure that we are always communicating and being focused on the right mission, and just as importantly – making things happen quickly enough.

Talk to us about your biggest success story so far?

To choose one success story is too hard. We have had a lot of success along the way, each one of them has felt bigger than the last.

How do clients and customers find you? Are you much of a salesperson for yourself?

We believe that the best product will win in the end, so we put most of our effort into building the best product and giving the best service to our customers. Sure, we are also doing Digital marketing, PR etc.. However, our best marketers are our clients and influencers.

What one tip would you give to fellow startup founders?

Sometimes a “trial and error” approach is much more effective than planning too much, go out there and do it!

And finally, what do you hope the future brings both you personally, and your business?

I would like to keep learning and meet new people, but most importantly, I hope the Humanz team continues to enjoy the journey.
