For developers and companies that spend weeks integrating, we build the successor to APIs that enables their apps to self-integrate under second without any maintenance.

Q: Tell us about yourself?

My name is Z. I am currently building the superface.ai—the next thing in APIs—so you never have to worry about APIs again. Previously, I was helping businesses to build the best APIs at Good API & Apiary.

Q: What is the inspiration behind your business?

Businesses are battered by API integrations. It can take over 700 days for a SaaS app to build its integrations. Are integrations their business? How many SaaS apps do you have in your portfolio?

Contrary, one public API costs $200.000 / year and needs dedicated expertise. Can a SaaS company afford it? Should it?

It does not matter if you are a single developer or the largest enterprise on this planet. Nobody likes to write or read API documentation only to spend weeks to figuring out how to really connect client and servers.

Superface changes the world of APIs entirely. Introducing Autonomous business integrations: Integrate every business under second and let AI make the B2B deals.

Q: What is your magic sauce?

The fact that the application can connect themselves without us laying down the wires. Unlike integration platforms and iPaaS Superface is not a middlemen compromising security, adding latency, and being the single point of failure. And unlike API management, developer portals and API documentations we actively help API providers to capitalize on their APIs. Superface removes the complexity from API integrations for both consumers and providers.

Q: Where do you see your company going in 5 years?

Today, digital business to business (B2B) integrations stands on two pillars: contracting and technical connection. Contracting (and sales) is usually happening in-person or over a Zoom call. Technical connection needs engineers to connect the software. Both can and will be done programmatically and eventually autonomously. We call this Autonomous Business Integrations (ABI). In five years Superface will be the place where autonomous business happens.

Q: What has been your biggest setback so far?

That one day has only 24 hours? Nothing major really. When we’ve held our first meetup there was a massive storm, surging uber prices and wait times and outages so many people could not make it.

Q: What is the next big challenge for your business?

To explain developers that they do not need to program their integrations, read API docs, and write API integration tests because their applications can self-integrate. Second help businesses to unlock the potential of autonomous business making and fully digital B2B sales.

Q: How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

If you are a developer who wants to focus on your app instead of someone’s APIs check out superface.ai and let your app self-integrate!
